Teen Studio Art Sessions – March 29

Wednesday, Mar 29, 2023
4:30 pm
- 6:00 pm

Ages 13-18

Recommended for ages 13-18

WEDNESDAYS
4:30 – 6:00 PM

Teen Studio Art sessions are designed to help students develop portfolio-ready artwork with guided open studio classes. Students bring artworks and projects to work on under the supervision of an experienced teaching artist.

For students interested in learning new skills, techniques or to explore other mediums, teaching artists will begin the first class of the month with a demonstration – such as printmaking, color mixing, building 3D structures, photography and more – which students will have the opportunity to explore and elaborate on in their own practice. This individualized experience places emphasis on technique, concept development, and maintaining a polished sketchbook and portfolio.

The Teen Studio Art Sessions are aimed at both high school and college prospective students. The teaching artist will coach students and provide individual instruction for optimal portfolio and audition preparedness. Artist-grade art materials are included with the cost of the class, but we can also provide a shopping list for those that want to keep their own materials.
