Creativity in the Community | North Miami – March 18
Tuesday, Mar 18
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Telling Our Stories
LOCATION: Oak Grove Elementary, 15640 NE 8th Ave, Miami, FL 33162
Join us at Oak Grove Elementary for our FREE Creativity in the Community art and literacy workshops for children and families.
By sharing stories parents pass on the traditions, cultures, and language abilities that prepare children for reading, learning, and life. Using the book Frida (English and Spanish), we explore the art of storytelling (the ability to communicate ideas verbally), understanding how culture and tradition supports literacy development.
Creativity in the Community by The Bass provides FREE workshops for families throughout South Florida, combining art and literacy to provide quality, engaging educational content for the entire family through multi-disciplinary art lessons.
Weekly Creativity in the Community workshops are held in three locations throughout the Miami Metro area. Creativity in the Community is offered in English, Spanish and Creole.
For more registration and information please call (786) 477-6007, or email [email protected].

Creativity in the Community is supported by PNC Arts Alive.
