EXHIBITION OPENING RECEPTION | with Sarah Crowner and Jack Pierson

Thursday, Sep 25, 2025
6:00 pm
- 9:00 pm

Celebrate the season opening of two solo exhibitions by artists Sarah Crowner and Jack Pierson at The Bass. Meet the artists and experience works that explore how place, memory, and material shape their artistic practices.

Faire Foyer: Sarah Crowner in Conversation with Etel Adnan brings together a new site-responsive installation by Sarah Crowner and the museum’s monumental ceramic mural by Etel Adnan—the only work of its kind in the U.S. The exhibition highlights two generations of artists and their shared pursuit of visual harmony between abstraction and the spaces where art and viewers meet.

Jack Pierson: The Miami Years is the first exhibition to explore how Miami influenced Pierson’s artistic development and personal evolution. Featuring a new large-scale commission, ARRAY (MIAMI), the exhibition brings together posters, poems, photographs, and works on paper that reflect themes of desire, nostalgia, and queer life—rooted in his experiences in Miami Beach during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

RSVP now and join the opening celebration.
