Family Day: Things That Go Bump!
Sunday, Oct 30, 2022
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join us from 2 - 4 PM for Free Family Day!
Join us on the last Sunday of every month for free museum admission and fun-filled art activities for kids and families.
Gather your little ghosts and ghouls this Family Day as The Bass partner’s with Miami Children’s Chorus (MCC) for a very special Halloween Sing-Along performance!
“Things That Go Bump” is a Halloween family sing-along presented by MCC during Family Day at The Bass Museum. The event draws inspiration for the museum’s new exhibit Phraseology which features works that place text and language in a central role of the art. Led by MCC’s Minuet & Allegro choir, people of all ages can join in the spooky singing fun to explore how composers use musical elements to bring out the meaning of text and draw out emotions.
Performances take place at 2 PM, 2:45 PM and 3:30 PM and are about half an hour in length.
Enjoy free admission to the museum all day on the last Sunday of every month, and from 2 – 4 PM participate in The Bass’ Family Day. Our free, monthly IDEAS program is created to engage families with children of all ages in activities that encourage conversation, exploration and experimentation through art. Activities include an in-person art making in Collins Park and/or the Creativity Center with art materials provided to participants.
Participants are encouraged to display their piece on Instagram tagging the @thebasscreativitycenter!
