A free, monthly IDEAS program created to engage families with children of all ages in activities that encourage conversation, exploration and experimentation through art. Activities include an in-person art-making Design Challenge in Collins Park with art materials provided to participants and an Art Hunt for all ages accessible by phone.
In addition, at-home activities include a virtual family tour of the current exhibitions on view, an Art Hunt to investigate our virtual galleries and an art-making video using materials found at home. Participants are encouraged to display their piece on Instagram tagging the @thebasscreativitycenter!
In honoring the 25th anniversary of exhibiting artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres’ death, art-making projects and themes for the spring season are drawn from the What Remains exhibition, on view through April 11, 2021.
