An event every day that begins at 9:00am, repeating until Friday, Mar 29, 2019

Designed for children ages 4-12, Art Camp at The Bass is led by professional museum educators, teaching artists and certified M-DPS art teachers. Campers will make a one-of-a–kind STEAM inspired projects and learn through fun, hands-on art activities in sculpture, painting, design and more. Sign up for one day or all five!

NEW! Art & Dance Spring Camp with The Miami City Ballet School

Members (Dual/Family & above): $40 per day
Non-members: $50 per day

Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Campers must bring their own lunch and snacks.

Aftercare is available each day for Art Camp participants! You may drop your child off as early as 8:30 AM with no additional charge, and can pick up as late as 6 PM for an additional charge of $10 per day.

Explore the creatures that roam the earth. Campers will make their own animal and environment using mixed media

Art that MOVES!

Campers will make their own technical drawings, sculpt, paint and decorate their mobile artwork

Story Creation

Students will develop characters, devise a plot and make and bind their very own book.

Friday, Mar 29
Puppetry and Storytelling

Using 3D art making, bring drawings of animals to life with recycled paper and materials. Campers will develop their own story accompanying their puppets.

Worlds of Color

Discover the science and meaning behind color while mixing, tinting and experiencing different mediums of art through color.

Tuesday, Mar 26
Story Creation

From comic books to graphic novels, each story is based on characters. In this camp session, students will draw, ink and create original characters and develop a story using images.

Painting on Unique Surfaces

Using a non-traditional surface, campers will learn painting techniques and how to use a unique texture to create a comprehensive piece.

Science and Art

Learn about art making methods through science! Mix, create and explore the magical world of science in this camp session.

Futuristic Pop-Up Sculpture

Combine drawing and painting to create surreal landscapes using your wildest imagination.
