George Lindemann | Board President | BASS BIO | The Bass Museum of Art

George Lindemann

George Lindemann is an investor, art collector and philanthropist committed to helping communities improve quality of life, expand opportunities and protect natural resources.

A native of South Florida, Lindemann saw an opportunity early in his career to revive a vital piece of downtown Miami by improving existing buildings and infrastructure along Biscayne Boulevard. His re-development of more than 500,000 square feet of commercial real estate helped to redefine the Biscayne Corridor and served as a springboard for economic development. Lindemann currently serves as General Manager of BC Property Investments, a real estate group that owns and operates commercial office space and residential developments in Florida, New York, Tennessee and Mexico.

As both a seasoned business leader and a dedicated whitewater paddler, Lindemann is a vocal proponent for a community-based approach to conservation. His leadership on water and climate issues has helped to protect fragile watersheds and restore critical habitat while creating jobs, increasing public access to outdoor recreation and providing economic development opportunities in underserved areas. He has significant experience with surface and groundwater water management issues and is actively involved in climate resilience planning for cultural institutions.

Lindemann is an avid collector of contemporary art and design. He serves as President of the Board of Directors for The Bass—Miami Beach’s contemporary art museum—and helped to underwrite a major renovation and expansion of community programs at the museum. He is an active supporter of cultural, environmental and civic organizations including Audubon Florida, The Nature Conservancy and American Whitewater.

Lindemann is a graduate of Brown University and holds an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. He is the father of four children.
