Artists imagine new creatures by combining observation, pattern, texture, and recycled materials to create sculptural forms.
LESSON OVERVIEW
In this lesson, students explore animals, patterns, and textures before inventing their own imaginary animal chimera using recycled, found materials and self – hardening clay. Inspired by contemporary artworks and immersive environments, students combine observation, imagination, and engineering to create sculptural creatures that blend real and imagined features.
