Night at the Museum | Artists EXTRAvaganza
CREATIVE VIBES & STUNNING FASHION
AT THE BASS, MIAMI BEACH
MIAMI BEACH, FL (April 25, 2025) – On Thursday, April 24, 2025, museum members gathered at The Bass Museum of Art for a grand evening celebrating Miami’s vibrant artist community during Night at the Museum: Artist EXTRAvaganza. Guests mingled with their favorite local artists while experiencing the museum’s galleries, enhanced with entertainment, craft cocktails, culinary delights, immersive activations, silent auction, and more!
The theme “Artist EXTRAvaganza” was inspired by the current exhibitions on view: Rachel Feinstein: The Miami Years, assume vivid astro focus: XI, (LA) HORDE: Heureux sous son ombre, Ulla von Brandenberg: In Dialogue and Performing Perspectives: A Collection in Dialogue. Guests donned their most stunning “art”-tire, with the Best ARTtire prize awarded to the most stylish ensemble inspired by the exhibitions.
The Bass partnered with üüps, the new “be aware of what to wear” app for style inspiration and avoiding outfit duplication. By previewing looks and discovering what others plan to wear, attendees arrived feeling confident, creative, and uniquely dressed—adding a chic and playful layer to the evening.
Judging this year’s Best ART-tire contest was renowned fashion stylist Elyze Held and The Shop Curator Angie Ferrer Pirán. Luis Najera and Corey Valestra took home the prize, with Avra Hart, Caitlin Collins, Julia Spillman-Gover, and Leemor Rhodes Carvalho getting a nod for 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. See the full album of spectacular fashions on the museum’s Facebook page.
The event transformed the museum with immersive activations, including “Light Bridge Refraction,” designed by Michelle M. Collins and Christien Methot and powered by A Non-Agency® and Design One Lighting. This next-generation immersive digital art experience that redefines space and architecture through the transformative power of light was featured inside the museum’s Lindemann Family Courtyard.
Multidisciplinary artist Mikihumo provided an experiential and immersive video and light installation in the Trudy and Paul Cejas Gallery. Spectacle Entertainment presented pop-up dancers and performers activating various spaces within the museum, surprising guests throughout the evening. DJs Benton & Steve from Dale Zine Radio dropped vinyl beats that kept guests dancing all night long.
Miami-based framing company I’ve Been Framed supported the activations, providing custom framing for silent auction artworks, as well as a larger-than-life custom frame constructed by Event Factor Production for guests to pose in as part of a photo shoot activation by After Hours Photoshoot, presented with support from üüps.
Guests toasted the brilliant affair with fine wine provided by longtime museum partner, Dry Farm Wines. Culinary delights and non-alcoholic libations were served by H&C Collective and enjoyed by guests throughout the evening. Le Basque provided extravagant décor and a stunning dessert station inspired by Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s famous package and wrapped object series. Craft cocktails were provided by Van Gogh Vodka while Perrier kept guests hydrated as they danced the night away.
Night at the Museum is The Bass’s signature member-only event, benefiting the museum’s exhibitions and educational programs.
