Through an age-old form of performance, escape to a bygone era orchestrated by Artist Pablo Cano, a skillful master of marionettes. Accompanied by Opera Singer Maria Elena Vallejo and live music, Cano pulls the strings to bring audiences in, at The Bass.

ABOUT PABLO CANO
Pablo Cano (b. 1961, Havana, Cuba) is a performance artist, printmaker, sculptor, and ceramic artist. He received his Associate of Arts degree from Miami Dade College in 1978  and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1981(summa cum laude). Cano also received a Masters in Painting from Queens College City University of New York in 1985. He has taught at New World School for the Arts as an Adjunct Professor from 1987-1989, and at Miami Dade College as an Adjunct Humanities and Art Professor from 1990 -1993. In addition to being CINTAS Foundation recipient in 1986, Cano  has been commissioned by The Museum of Contemporary Art for 16 years, performing and designing Marionette Productions with choreographers Karen Peterson and Katherin Kramer. He has founded the Red Velvet Marionette Theater in 2014, which was renamed The Cricket Theater 2017.
