Art for Kids I (Ages 4-6)

Recommended for ages 4 – 6

This class caters to young learners, where each session motivates children with varied themes and exciting new projects. The course provides age-appropriate challenges for them to explore drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, and mixed media with an emphasis on experimentation. All art materials are included in the cost of the workshop series.

Listed below are three workshop series for February, March, and April, respectively.

Art for Kids I - Painting - March 29

Children will create painted landscapes, portraits, and more as they learn the basics of color mixing and foundational painting skills. They will get familiar with different kinds of paints including acrylic, watercolor, and tempera.

Class meets weekly for 4, 1-hour sessions.

Children will work with pencils, oil pastels, and some unexpected materials as they develop their drawing skills. The sky is the limit when it comes to subject matter! Students will draw portraits, landscapes, illustrations and more.

The museum is not responsible for any artwork or personal items lost, stolen or left in the classrooms. All Bass programs are organized for educational purposes and offers programs and activities to everyone without regard to race, religion, national origin or sexual preference. All Bass programs follow the Miami-Dade County School District’s schedule for inclement weather. Students and parents must respect the rights of other students and staff or they will be asked to leave the class and forfeit class fees.
