Families can rotate, flip, and reflect shapes to create compositions inspired by the visual effects of The Kaleidoscopic.

Inspired by Sarah Zapata’s bold, tactile works in Against a State of Malevolence, families will explore texture, layering, and personal expression through art. Discover how colors, materials, and hidden words can come together to share messages of joy, hope, and connection. Inspired by Pepe Mar’s El Gato Negro, families will explore the objects, places, traditions, and memories we carry with us. Create imaginative artworks that celebrate personal journeys and the many experiences that connect us to people and places.

Join us for our STEAM+ Student Exhibition and find inspiration from Pedro y Juana’s Aqui. Families will explore how spaces can be transformed through storytelling and imagination. Instead of focusing on building or design alone, participants will invent the purpose, history, and inhabitants of an imagined world, using color, pattern, and everyday materials to bring its narrative to life.

Inspired by Pedro y Juana’s immersive installation Aquí, families will explore tropical color, playful pattern, and the natural world. Create vibrant works inspired by plants and flowers while discovering how individual pieces can grow into something bigger together.

Inspired by Abraham Cruzvillegas’ Autocontusión, families will explore how everyday and discarded materials can take on new possibilities. Build, rearrange, and transform unexpected materials into imaginative creations while considering how our surroundings are always changing.

Inspired by Abraham Cruzvillegas’ Autocontusión, families will explore the places that make a world feel familiar. Through maps, drawings, and accordion books, create a real or imaginary place filled with meaningful landmarks, favorite spaces, natural surroundings, and unexpected details that make it uniquely yours.

Inspired by Gabriel Rico’s IX Mural from the Series–Reducción Objetiva Orquestada, families will combine unexpected objects, images, and ideas to invent their own visual equations. Experiment with surprising relationships and discover that in art, there can be many creative solutions.
