FAMILY DAYS
ALL AGES | Last Sunday of each month
2-4 PM
FREE admission all day

Families with children of all ages are invited to join us for Family Day—an afternoon of art-making, exploration, and fun! Activities include in-person projects in The Bass Creativity Center, where materials are provided to encourage hands-on creativity and experimentation. Families can also embark on a prompted art exploration of our current exhibitions using an art explorer guide—a playful scavenger hunt through the galleries, inviting participants to search for specific artworks, answer questions, and engage deeply with what they discover.

Each Family Day includes special Art Cares projects, focusing on therapeutic, well-being centered activities that foster connection and emotional expression through art.

FREE bus service available from Coconut Grove, Little Havana and Little River on select Sundays.

Soundscapes | Presented by Miami Children's Chorus

Soundscapes is an immersive, multisensory experience that aims to break the mold of a traditional choral concert. Presented by the Miami Children’s Chorus, under the direction of conductors Liana Salinas, Ananya Akula, and Supitcha Kansirisin, the Allegro and Sonata ensembles will perform a diverse repertoire of choral music among the Bass Museum’s art installations.

The Miami Children’s Chorus is South Florida’s first community children’s choir – celebrating 60 years of quality choral music education and performances. In that time, it has grown its initiatives beyond choral concerts to include community events, a new music commissioning program, recording, touring, and even collaborating with Grammy-winning artists such as Gloria Estefan, Manuel Turizo, Paquito D’Rivera, Barry Manilow, and more!

MCC programs, which offer four advancing levels of chorus, foster a spirit of belonging and a drive for excellence that instills confidence in youth. Youth, ages 8-22, are selected by audition and meet weekly to learn the necessary skills to be practicing and professional musicians, in addition to important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and commitment.
