Miami Mountain Installation

Miami Mountain, the large-scale earthwork by New York-based artist Ugo Rondinone, was installed in Collins Park over the course of 14 hours. The installation team was comprised of five parties, including the team of fabricators who sourced and sculptured the boulders to the artist’s specifications in the Nevada desert. These photographs document the installation of the mountain on October 27, 2016 and reveal some of the technical details that are hidden beneath the surface of the work.
