Teens are taking over at The Bass!

The Bass’ Teen Board has designed special programs for teens ages 13 – 17 every third Thursday from 6 – 9 PM during the museum’s free monthly Culture Crawl. Join us for art-making activities, socializing, and more!

The Bass’ Teen Board hosts programs for teens, designed by teens every third Thursday at the monthly Culture Crawl!

Try your hand at several different art practices and projects including henna tattoos, creating Phraseology-inspired block prints, macramé and more!

This open studio session is an opportunity for guests of all ages to get creative while learning from teenage artists.  

All supplies will be provided by The Bass—just bring your friends!

Teen Takeover | May

The Bass’ Teen Board hosts programs for teens, designed by teens every third Thursday at the monthly Culture Crawl!

You are invited to Neon Night @ The Bass for the final Teen Takeover event of the school year!

From 6-8pm, guests of all ages are invited to draw inspiration from Tavares Strachan’s neon in the Phraseology exhibition during an open studio where they can create wearable art featuring neon colors.

From 8-9pm, the Creativity Center will transform into a dance floor exclusively for teens to celebrate the end of the school year!

Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, The Bass will be flexible with refunds for classes that students/families are unable to attend due to illness or suspected exposure. Please reach out to us for requests or questions. The Bass reserves the right to substitute instructors without notice. The museum is not responsible for any artwork or personal items lost, stolen or left in the classrooms. All Bass programs are organized for educational purposes and offers programs and activities to everyone without regard to race, religion, national origin or sexual preference. All Bass programs follow the Miami-Dade County School District’s schedule for inclement weather. Students and parents must respect the rights of other students and staff or they will be asked to leave the class and forfeit class fees.
