WINTER ART CAMPS
DECEMBER 27-30 2022
JANUARY 3-6 2023
Ages 4-12 | 9 AM – 3:30 PM
Aftercare is available until 6 PM

Campers will use their unique creativity to make one-of-a-kind projects designed by teaching artists and learn through fun, hands-on art activities in sculpture, painting, design and more. 

REGISTRATION FEES
$60 per day
Museum members (family/dual or above): $45 per day
Daily aftercare until 6pm: $10

Campers will learn to design sculptures hung only on wire and strings. Campers will make drawings, sculpt, paint and decorate their artwork while learning the basics of kinetic art.

What makes you, you? Using images of their favorite things, campers will create a piece of art that celebrates their uniqueness.

Session 2: POP ART!

Campers will venture into the lives of Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kasama, and Roy Lichtenstein to explore cool ways to make art full of personality. Campers will learn how to use the elements of line, shape and color to create art that relates to what they enjoy in everyday popular culture.

Session 2: ART FROM AROUND THE WORLD

From Mexico to Tokyo, campers will travel around the world to learn about the artists, art traditions and techniques of different cultures.

Session 2: ART MAKING IN 3D

From the basics of mixing papier-mâché to bending soft wire and attaching objects, campers will learn about different materials they can use to create mixed media sculptures.

Session 2: FAMILY PORTRAITS

Include the entire family in this day of portrait-making. Campers will learn tips and tricks on how to draw the features of the face and use color to help their image come to life!

ART CAMPS REFUND POLICY
Refunds may be issued prior to the first class session and are subject to a $25 processing fee. Refunds are not available after the first class session has started. Fees will not be returned for failure to attend without notice.

The Bass reserves the right to substitute instructors without notice. The museum is not responsible for any artwork or personal items lost, stolen or left in the classrooms. All Bass programs are organized for educational purposes and offers programs and activities to everyone without regard to race, religion, national origin or sexual preference. All Bass programs follow the Miami-Dade County School District’s schedule for inclement weather. Students and parents must respect the rights of other students and staff or they will be asked to leave the class and forfeit class fees.

MUSEUM PROGRAM POLICY
There are no refunds. A credit is available for cancellations made 48 hours in advance of class and can be applied to other classes, pending availability.
