On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, audiences joined filmmaker and installation artist Isaac Julien CBE RA for Small Talk, an informal conversation happening on Zoom facilitated by Executive Director & Chief Curator Silvia Karman Cubiñá.

In 2010, Julien presented “Isaac Julien/Creative Caribbean Network,” a solo exhibition at The Bass. The exhibition featured the US premiere of “Ten Thousand Waves” (2010), a nine-screen installation, as well as the film and photographic series “Paradise Omeros” (2002), “Baltimore” (2003) and “Vagabondia” (2000).
